Silas Hickey is Senior Creative Director of Regional Animation Development at Turner Asia Pacific.
Based in Hong Kong, Silas is responsible for the creative direction of Turner's pioneering original content development initiatives in Asia Pacific. These include pinpointing and green-lighting the production of high-quality original shorts from script to screen for all of the region's kids' brands: Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Toonami and POGO.
He works closely with the regional and global acquisitions team and plays a pivotal role in ensuring what goes on air reflects Turner's brands and their promise to kids - to deliver fun, engaging and relevant content. During his Turner career, Silas' credits includes executive producer of Cartoon Network's Ben 10 - Destroy All Aliens, Johnny Bravo Goes to Bollywood, Exchange Student Zero (2013 televemovie and 2015 series) and Monster Beach. A surfer and a versatile creative genius, Silas grew up in Australia on a heavy diet of classic American, Hanna-Barbera 'toons, which sparked the beginning of his long and diverse relationship with the medium. Tani joined Warner Bros. in 2002. She managed all aspects of licensing business including merchandise, publishing, promotions and events for Asia and successfully led the licensing team to maximize the revenue potential via participation in blockbuster movies, and to strengthen evergreen properties through implementation of new business initiatives. She also focused her time on coaching licensing agents and ensuring that best practices were shared within the region to have a win-win business situation.

Joined Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd. (PCSB) as a Petroleum Engineer in 1982, soon after graduating. Most of his career with PCSB was in Miri, Sarawak, spearheading the takeover of the Miri oilfield from Sarawak Shell Berhad after the expiry of the Production Sharing Contract between Sarawak Shell Berhad and PETRONAS. He received President Award in 1990 and was promoted to lead the Production Operations of Miri fields before leaving the company in 1992 to venture into private sector. In 1994, he joined Dayang Enterprise Sdn. Bhd., a service contractor company to the oil and gas industry, as the Managing Director and partner. He led the company from a small size company until it was ready for listing on the KLSE. Prior to the completion of the listing exercise in 2004, he left the company and sold of his interest.
In December 2005, he decided to venture into animation industry and Les' Copaque Production Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated. Together with his wife, they develop the business model and the direction of the company; providing platform for the local talents to showcase their creativity and producing quality products with good moral values, local cultures with global appeal. Upin & Ipin, the most successful and phenomenal IP ever produced from Malaysia, was their creation. It is currently being shown in Malaysia, Indonesia, and other Asean countries through Disney Channel Asia and Turkey. Beside Upin & Ipin, the company have produced three more IP namely, 'Pada Zaman Dahulu', "Puteri" and Dadudido. With these IP's, he has successfully developed and lead the industry into IP spin-off business such as merchandising, licensing, thematic restaurants and events. Their success is the inspirations for other local animation companies to emulate and setting the benchmark for them to follow. Through Les' Copaque Production Sdn. Bhd., he has successfully positioned Malaysia on the map of the global animation industry. The company is an award winning company where they have won more than 40 awards since the inception.

Yasmin has 20 years experience in the media industry spanning from running a partnership in graphic design & advertising as designer and owner for 10 years, to her current role in Studio Voxel, a Visual Effects house, as CEO and producer. She began her career in marketing in the retail industry and began exploring the TV entertainment scene as an art director in the early 90’s where she settled in graphic design and to date, manages Studio Voxel’s projects and services such as visual effects and digital media related work.
She was producer to the short ?lm Rojak!, a Pete Teo and telco P1 production installation of 15 short ?lms known as the ’15 Malaysia’ shorts, that travelled far and wide which made the of?cial selection at the Clermont Ferrand Short Film Festival in 2010, and all of the studios’ music & corporate videos and commercials. Yasmin also served as a VFX producer to documentaries such as Unburying The Past, The Highland Tower Disaster and Haze Hell of Asia for History Channel, and domestic feature ?lms, Nasi Lemak 2.0, Hantu Gangster, Kara King and Jwanita to name a few.
In the pipeline for her are, the production of Studio Voxel's own ?lm which she is spearheading and heading a Visual Effects coalition, amalgamating Malaysia’s specialised visual effects houses Bolt Studio, Mira Digital and Japanese post production powerhouse, Imagica to work on international productions.

Ideate Media is Zainir's brainchild. He envisaged a Malaysian player that would make an impact in the international arena. As CEO, it is his vision and energy that drives the company in its mission to bring Malaysian and Asian talent to the global stage.
Ideate partnered with Australia's Essential Media & Entertainment, Ireland's Telegael and Malaysia's Lemon Sky on the preschool animated series Sydney Sailboat, commissioned by Australia's ABC. Ideate's slate includes the U.S. drama series Dirk Gently, a co production with IDW Entertainment and Circle of Confusion for BBC America and AMC Studios, and The Island at the Center of the World, a TV adaptation of a Russell Shorto novel, developed for the U.S.' PBS. Ideate's most ambitious project is a multiplatform franchise based on Malaysian author Ramlee Awang Murshid's novels that is being developed with Los Angeles' 42 Entertainment.
Prior to Ideate, Zainir spent 17 years at Astro, Malaysia's leading integrated media group where he managed its content business. He also formed strategic partnerships with global media organisations to launch new businesses in the region.
Trained as an engineer, Zainir obtained his MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
